Continuous or Discrete?

As much a dilemma in physics as in the brain,
it is my contention it can be solved with a blurb.

Continuous is discrete smeared, through stochasticity,
Discrete is continuous lumped, through statistics.

Solved!

Circular solution, admittedly, but those are good.
It tells us reality is not made of formalisms.
